My name is Hazel and I am part of the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) team this year. I am so impressed by the effort that you put into your posts, and the awesome start you have made to the programme - ka pai!
I think it is very sad to hear that nothing is being done to help clean up either of these rivers. What do you think people could be doing to help?
I like that you made a DLO about the rivers that you researched. DLOs are a great way to share your learning with others in an interesting and creative way. Remember, every time that we use an image on our blog, it's really important that we tell our readers where we found it, and give credit to the owner of the picture. To properly credit a picture you will need to include a link to the site where you found the image. We have created a guide that you might find helpful. You can check it out here: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1VKjkMGwBrk2YI6Vtmg91OAQljr_T3ZSV6YZtu6MWFNM You will need to follow these instructions to earn full points for any Summer Learning Journey activity that has asked you to post an image.
Keep up the awesome work, and I look forward to reading more of your posts soon.
Hi Hazel, I just wanted to say thank you for the very nice comment. What I think people can do to help these rivers are buy stop buying single use plastics. Also I think they should stop throwing away plastics because they can use the three Rs ( Reuse,Reduce and recycle). I'm sorry I keep on forgetting to do that. To give credit to those people who made the image. I will remember to do that. Well bye.
I think you've come up with some great ideas to help reduce pollution in the rivers. Hopefully lots of people will follow your advice and we can get the rivers cleaned up soon.
