My calculation is....

Week 2, Activity 2: Dr Jessa Rogers

What did I have to do?  For this activity, we would like you to calculate Jessa’s age when she won the NAIDOC Youth of the Year award. She was born on 7 April 1985 and she received the award on 9 July 2010. Please provide the answer to this question in years, months and days (eg. 20 years, 6 months and 2 days).
On your blog, please post both your final answer and an explanation of how you solved this math problem. You could write your explanation, or use screencastify to record yourself explaining how you solved it.
What did you enjoy about this? I enjoyed that I finally did some math in the holidays. Math is my favorite subject.

Here is my Slides.

  1. Kia ora Kohl-lee,

How are you today? It's awesome to see another activity from you! You always put lots of effort and creativity into your work, and I love reading it :) I hope we get to see more before the programme ends next Friday (24th).

Awesome work with your math equation, Kohl-lee! You've shown really clearly how you've reached the answer (which was right!), and I really like how you've shown your working using screencastify AND google slides. You always put lots of effort into your activities, and it's easy to see that. Keep it up!

I'm so glad you enjoyed this activity! I also really enjoyed maths when I was at school, but reading would have to be my favourite. Do you also enjoy reading?

I hope we get to see more of your blogging!

    Ngā mihi,
    Tayla
