Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart

Week 1, Activity 4: Flying Solo.
This is about two successful women who were the first women to fly solo to different places around the world. They were named ( Jean batten) and Amelia Earhart). Amelia wanted to pull of the biggest stunt ever she wanted to fly around the whole world, but unfortunately  there was a big tragedy. She hasn't been found or seen ever since. As for Jean she past away from an infection caused by a dog bite.

For this activity, I had to compare and contrast these two aviators
(Jean Batten) and (Amelia Earhart). I had to share my comparison between the two women and be sure to include at least three similarities and three differences between these two aviators.

  1. Kia ora Kohl-lee,

It's Taleisha. Wow. You must've put alot of work into that venn diagram! The colour really makes it pop and I love how you have added photos of both of the pilots. I didn't know Jean's real name was Jane! I wonder why she changed it? It must've taken a long time to attribute all the photos but I love your willingness. It shows that you take your work seriously and you respect the authors work.

    Keep up the great Kohl-lee!

  2. Kia Ora Kohl- Lee,

It’s Dani, I’m back as a blog commenter in the Kaikohekohe cluster for the Summer Learning Journey. I loved reading all of the blog posts so much last year that I jumped at the chance to come back again and see some of the great work that is being done by students from Northland. It’s awesome to see that you are back participating in the Summer Learning Journey again!

You have done an awesome job of finding similarities and differences and presenting them in a colourful and eye catching way! Did you know that there is a school called Jean Batten School? It is in Mangere in South Auckland, it’s very close to the school that I work at. I think they called the school Jean Batten because it is close to the airport and Jean Batten was an amazing pilot!

It’s great to see that you have attributed your photos, keep it up.I look forward to reading more of your posts soon!

    Blog ya later,

    Dani
