Neil Armstrong

Week 1, Activity 5: One small step for man.
Who is Neil Armstrong. He is an American astronaut. Neil Armstrong was the first person in the world to step foot and walk on the moon. His spacecraft was called Apollo 11. One of his quotes that he said was, " That's one small step for man, on giant leap for mankind".

For this task I had to imagine that I was Neil Armstrong, walking on the moon for the first time. I had to write a poem about how I felt walking on the moon. Sorry I tried to make it rhyme but I couldn't.

  1. Kia ora Kohl-lee,

It's Taleisha. I really like how you told readers who Neil Armstrong is (of course for those who don't know who he is) as soon as they look at your posts. It's the first thing you see. I like that even though you aren't a good rhymer, you gave it try! And if I'm being honest, it is definitely better then what I would've probably conjured up :) Also, great job for attributing the photo.

What would you say if you were the first woman to land on the moon?

Keep up the great work Kohl-lee!

    1. Hi Taleisha, Its me Kohl-lee. I just wanted to say thank you for the amazing comment. You are really inspiring me, just to give things a try. I've never written a poem. I have when I was five but that's it.

If I was the first women on the moon, I would say girls are the future. Or something like that. Well Thanks for the inspiring comment. Have an amazing Christmas. Xx

      Nga mihi,

  4. Kia Ora Kohl-Lee,

Wow, what a cool poem. I can imagine that it might be very bright up there, I think I would get a tad bit homesick too. Do you think that you would like to visit space at all? One of my friends actually builds rockets, as his job! They are rockets to help send satellites up into space but maybe they will start building rockets to carry people into space soon!

It’s really great to see so many supportive comments on your post from other participants. Did you know that you can get extra points if you post a supportive comment on someone else’s blog?

    Keep up the awesome mahi!

    Blog ya later,

    Dani
